How to start a conversation with someone you like

In my previous article How to start a conversation with a stranger i gave many tips that can help you talk to someone you don't know. In this article i will tell you how can you start a conversation with someone you like.

As usual, this article is not going to contain intuitive or inferior tips like be polite or be friendly but instead it will contain effective techniques that are backed by psychology and solid facts.

Starting a conversation with someone you like

Here is how you should start a conversation with someone you like:

1) What's your total score? I have said before that people become attracted to those who have a similar total score or a higher total score (see Love psychology). When you start a conversation with someone you like make sure that you don't appear eager to talk to him because that will certainly lower your total score. Sadly that's a part of human nature, whenever a person finds someone dying for him he downgrades him
2) Which side?: Believe it or not, when attempting to start a conversation with someone you like the side you are going to approach him from will make a lot of difference. If you approached someone from his right side then you will be talking to his left brain which is responsible for logic and facts while if you approached someone from the left side then you will be talking to his right brain which is responsible for intuition and creativity. Chose the side you are going to approach the person from based on the things you are going to say
3) Learn the body language attraction signals: Based on point number one you shouldn't let the person you like know that you like him. Learn about the body language attraction signals and don't do any of them while talking to that person. Don't get me wrong, i am not asking you to show the person that you don't him during the conversation but instead i want you to confuse him
4) Do you have a self image problem? If you want to start a conversation with someone you like then the first barrier you will face is the self image problem if you suffer from one. People who don't like their looks, who don't think that they are attractive or who have self image problems usually feel anxious whenever trying to start a conversation with any stranger.
5) Align your conversation with his interests: In part one of this article i explained how you can know about someone's interests before even starting a conversation with him. Before starting a conversation with someone you like you need to make sure that the topics you are going to talk about are of interest to him else you might not be able to maintain a successful conversation

More ways to start a conversation with someone you like

Before starting a conversation with someone you like its better to watch his behaviour first to know about the right moment. The best time you can approach a person is when he is bored (staring in space, playing with his mobile phone...etc). see Boredom in body language.

Friends can affect and influence each other, that's why its better to approach the person when he is alone. If you like someone then most probably you are going to focus on him during the conversation and this might make his friends jealous.

After you leave their jealousy might turn into gossip and this gossip can program the mind of the person you like in a negative way.
